This project combines a long-wheelbase MAN TGE 4WD with a bespoke campervan conversion by Wildworx and the STORM exterior styling pack. The specification brings together a raised rear bed, a kitchen with induction cooking, an onboard bathroom and lithium battery power, alongside all-terrain tyres, recovery equipment and additional exterior lighting.
The base vehicle is a MAN TGE LION XP with a 2.0-litre BiTurbo diesel engine, 177 PS, automatic transmission and a high roof. Its long-wheelbase layout provides space for separate sleeping, cooking and bathroom areas.
Interior Layout and Finishes
The conversion includes soundproofing, insulation, wall panelling and carpet lining, with a SurfDek interior roof finish and luxury vinyl flooring.
Onyx Grey kitchen cabinetry is paired with a white Corian worktop, black taps and hardware, and Natural Limed Oak flooring. Gloss White and Onyx Grey overhead units provide additional storage, while soft-close drawers and an oak table complete the interior specification.
A bench seat provides seating within the living area. Window blinds, flyscreens and Remis concertina cab blinds provide privacy and help control light throughout the van.

Raised Rear Bed and Storage
A raised rear platform bed creates storage space beneath the sleeping area, supported by an extra-deep bed locker. A custom memory foam mattress forms the sleeping surface.
Side flares with windows extend the rear bodywork around the bed area and bring natural light into the space. This arrangement combines a dedicated bed with accessible storage for travelling equipment.

Kitchen and Bathroom
The kitchen specification includes a tall, slimline fridge-freezer, a two-ring induction hob, a sink and a black wall-mounted tap.
An internal fresh-water tank and external grey-water tank support the hot and cold water system, with tank-level sensors and an external fresh-water filling point.
The bathroom includes a Thetford cassette toilet, a basin with black hardware and a black shower fitting. An external shower point provides a separate option for rinsing outside the vehicle.

Electrical System and Climate Control
The electrical specification centres on a 300Ah lithium battery, a 3,000W inverter and a Victron DC-DC charger. A CBE control panel manages the habitation system, with USB, USB-C and household sockets positioned around the interior.
An external 240V hookup provides a connection to mains power when available. LED strip lighting supplies interior illumination. Rechargeable LED Lights add ambient lighting over the bed.
A Truma diesel heating and hot-water system is specified alongside habitation air conditioning. A Maxxair ceiling vent and Maxxfan Dome vent provide ventilation. The build also includes a smoke and carbon monoxide alarm and a fire extinguisher.

STORM Exterior Styling Pack
The STORM pack adds equipment for carrying gear, accessing the roof and supporting travel beyond paved campsites. The specification includes:
- Swamper alloy wheels and all-terrain tyres.
- Wheel arch extensions and a 40mm lift kit.
- Expedition roof rack.
- Rear spare-wheel carrier and ladder.
- Molle panels and Recovery boards.
- Sump protection.
- Fiamma wind-out awning.
- Front LED lightbar, front spotlights and rear LED lights.
- SwitchPro control system.
- Exterior decals and professional winterisation.
An A-bar and a tow bar with vehicle-specific, coded electrics are also included in the project specification.
Connectivity
A Starlink Mini kit with a custom bracket and roof mount adds connectivity equipment to the build, complementing the onboard electrical system.
A Bespoke MAN TGE Campervan
This MAN TGE campervan conversion brings a practical living layout together with the STORM exterior specification. The raised bed and storage, induction kitchen, onboard bathroom and climate-control systems provide the core accommodation, while the roof rack, all-terrain tyres and recovery equipment extend the vehicle’s touring setup.
Designed and built by Wildworx in Alcester, Warwickshire, the project demonstrates how a long-wheelbase MAN TGE 4WD can be configured around both everyday living requirements and the equipment carried on a trip.
