What's the difference between the aluminium frame and gloss-white front?
Both options include a fully assembled, powder-coated aluminium locker with hinges and a catch lock.
Aluminium Frame Only: Supplied without the furniture-board front, allowing you to fit your own material to match your campervan interior.
Fitted Gloss-White Front: Supplied with a gloss-white furniture-board front already fitted.
Does the overhead locker arrive assembled?
Yes. The aluminium frame is supplied fully assembled, with hinges and catch lock included.
This eliminates the need to design, cut and fabricate the main locker structure, saving valuable time during your campervan conversion.
The mounting rail is sold separately.
How do I install the overhead locker?
The locker is designed to mount using a 21mm light-duty slotted channel rail, which is sold separately.
Mounting rail is required at both the rear and top of each locker.
The correct fixing method depends on your campervan's internal structure, wall panelling and supporting framework.
Always ensure your mounting arrangement is suitable for the locker and its intended load before installation.
How much mounting rail do I need?
Our mounting rails are supplied in full 3-metre lengths at £23.09 including VAT.
For a 600mm locker:
- Approximately 1.5m of rail required in total.
- Rail is used across the rear and top mounting positions.
- Order 1 × 3m mounting rail.
For a 900mm locker:
- Approximately 2m of rail required in total.
- Rail is used across the rear and top mounting positions.
- Order 1 × 3m mounting rail.
One 3m mounting rail is sufficient for either a single 600mm or 900mm locker.
Rails should be cut to the required lengths during installation.
Why use aluminium instead of plywood for campervan cabinets?
Weight is an important consideration in any campervan conversion, particularly when installing furniture above head height.
Aluminium offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, allowing us to create rigid overhead storage structures without relying on heavy timber cabinetry.
Reducing unnecessary furniture weight helps preserve the vehicle's available payload for passengers, equipment, water and other essentials.
Can I fit my own furniture-board front?
Yes. Choose the Aluminium Frame Only option if you'd prefer to match the locker to your existing campervan furniture.
The assembled frame includes the hinges and catch lock, ready for you to add your own front panel.

30-Day Fit Guarantee: Get your fit confirmed by us before ordering. If the product doesn’t fit the vehicle we approved, let us know within 30 days of delivery. We’ll cover return carriage and arrange the correct replacement or a refund.
3-Year Product Warranty: If your product fails due to a material or manufacturing defect within three years, we’ll repair or replace it free of charge, including the necessary carriage costs.
5-Year Finish Warranty: Our covered exterior products are protected against rust, peeling and coating failure caused by manufacturing defects for five years. If the finish fails, we’ll refinish or replace the affected component. Accidental damage, stone chips and normal wear are excluded.
